Paul’s Men’s Shop

Paul's Men's Shop
the 1950s

Paul’s was a men’s clothing store at 527 Penn St in the 50s and 60s. Couldn’t find a date on when it closed.

Today the building is occupied by a pizza place.

Born and raised in Berks, I am fascinated by the style, design & culture of the mid-late 20th century. I started this website to research and build a collection of the places, things and stories I have heard about my entire life. Read more here.

  1. PAUL’S MENS SHOP, WOW!! WHAT MEMORIES… LOCATED AT 527 PENN STREET, I WORKED NEXT DOOR TO PAUL’S IN THE SIXTIES, AND WOULD SHOP THERE REGULARLY. I PLAYED GOLF WITH THE MANAGER, MARTY. PAUL’S ALSO HAD A STORE IN EASTON. PA. FAMOUS FOR THEIR SEMI-ANNUAL SALES, THE STORE CLOSED A DAY OR TWO BEFORE THE SALE TO RE-PRICE EVERYTHING. A VERY POPULAR MEN’S STORE FOR YEARS. THANKS ALEXA, FOR THE MEMORIES.
