Dedicated in September 1961, the terminal building at Reading Municipal Airport – also known as General Carl. A. Spaatz Field, in honor of Berks County’s famed air commander – is one of the finest in the land for a community this size. Airline offices, dining room, cocktail lounge, ticket booths are among the terminal’s many features. Shown standing at the field gate are, left to right: Mrs. Ralph G. Hill, Miss Sidney McIlvain Kutz and Mrs. Frederick J. Williams.

Before Blue Marsh: Speicher's Bridge was built along Church Road in 1878 and spanned the Tulpehocken Creek between Penn and North Heidelberg Townships. It was dismantled for the Blue Marsh Lake Project in the 1970s, and Church Road was completely rerouted 1500 feet to the northwest. Spring on the Ave 🌺🌞 Then & Now: Fox North Theatre as it appeared during grand opening in 1964 and today. Fox North was located in the Muhlenberg Shopping Plaza along 5th Street. The theater closed in 1988, was demolished and Pep Boys was built on the site. What movies did you see at Fox North?
