Valentine’s Day is extra special this year for Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Wendling of 111 2nd St., Shillington. This is the first Valentine’s day they share as man and wife. Mr. Wendling presents his wife with a heaty-shaped box of candy. Mrs. Wendling, the former Sharon Lehman, gives her beloved a card of tender thoughts. Sheri Moll, 1202 Broadway Ave., Stony Creek Mills, says that this Valentine’s Day, “I’ll get by with a little help from my friends”. A graduate of Exeter Township High School, Sheri is the CNA insurance Valentine girl for 1972. An employee of CNA for the past eight years, she works in the DBL Accounting department. Her sign, and her “friend” with the arrow, leave no doubt as to what Valentines Day, February 14th is all about.

Gehman, 6, of 415 Lawrence Ave., Lincoln Park, gives his valentine to Cindy L. Cramp, 610 Museum Road, a kindergarten teacher at the Lincoln Park Elementary School. A Special Time, On Valentine’s Day, there’s nothing like a bit of gallantry to warm a woman’s heart – no matter what her age. This morning the Eagle-eyed camera of James R. Cutler captured this romantic scene as a little boy escorts his valentine to school through the snow-covered 500 block of Amherst Avenue in Lincoln Park.
