This Carvel was located in Sinking Spring, possibly on Penn Avenue in 1954. Does anyone remember the location and can shed light on where exactly it stood?
It was short I worked there. It was the only building Joe Gentile owned out right. He changed the name…
The Carvel was on the south side of 422 just east of the drive in theater, maybe near where the Tompkins bank is today. The franchisee, Jess Daniels, bought out the franchise & it became know as Daniel’s Dairy Bar. Mr. Daniels did business there I believe at least into the early sixties.
Thank you for the information . My husband lived in sinking spring all his life and couldn’t figure it out. I told him what you said and now he remembers.
The building looks like Millers Ice Cream

Rick Page has it right. Carvel became Miller’s
