I would like to thank each of you that reached out and have given me support over the past few days. It’s been kind of a dark time both physically and mentally. Last Thursday as all of this played out I started displaying symptoms and ended up spending the entire holiday weekend suffering from the newest strain of COVID-19. This one isn’t messing around; protect yourselves.
Nearly a week later I am starting to feel more like myself again and figured it was time to sit down and follow up on the post I made last Friday. I have since deleted everything regarding it, both on my website and on Facebook. Not because what I said wasn’t true. It was and is completely true and I stand by it. I have kept my head down while this person has degraded my work while also simultaneously stealing it for years. The blatant lying about it was more than I could bear.
While I never particularly condone aggression, unfortunately it is true – sometimes the only way to deal with a bully is to stand up and punch them back; square in the face. While I have received no indication of such, if this action has lost me any amount of respect in the community so be it.
I have deleted it only because the internet is forever, and I do not necessarily believe someone should be shamed and judged eternally for their worst moments. We are all human and make mistakes. I have received no apology and I have no hope that after a decade of this nonsense that this particular tiger will ever actually change their stripes. But we must always give the benefit of the doubt, otherwise we leave no room for growth.
I am extremely proud of what I do here. You all have bared witness to the growth I have made in the past few years. It isn’t about how many followers I have or how much validation I receive from them. I do this because I chose to raise my children here and I want to play a small part in improving the community. I will continue to do so with integrity because that is who I am.
I absolutely love your work! And I will support you in any way I can! Thank you for all your awesome work.

A Virginia reader.
Alexa, I have enjoyed and appreciated the posts I have read. Thank you so much for the time you’ve put in to research and write them.
I’m sorry you were sick, but thankful you are feeling better.
Alexa, Today September 24th I finally started to get caught up with my internet sites etc. I just want tell you I really love your excellent articles and the many photos that I have never seen. For over 15 years I did a weekly article about different sites in Berks County in a local entertainment booklet titled “LOOSEENDS”. I used a photo from my collection and added my memories of it which I called “Remember When”. My pen name was “Shotgun-Louie” and even though I stopped writing articles almost ten years ago I still have my readers asking me questions. I am sure when ever you decide to stop (Which I hope isn’t for a long time) people will greet you for many years too. Again I just want to congratulate you for excellent job of keeping the old days of Berks County alive in your stories. Sincerely; Larry (Shotgun-Louie) Soltys
