The Fleetwood Hill Climb was an event that took place over 10 years from 1961 to 1971 on Labor Day weekend. Some of the best cars in the region came to partake in this race. Hillclimbing is a branch of motorsport in which drivers compete against the clock to complete an uphill course. This event was wildly popular during this time period, and with many of the racers being locals, it was a fun experience for all involved. Did you ever race in or attend the Fleetwood Hill Climb?

Today, there are still 2 annual Hill-Climb events in Berks County, which are the Pagoda & Duryea Hill Climbs.
